MILITARY DOG TAGS: Text File Input
Let’s say you are ordering military dogs tags for a baseball team
and want to personalize each tag with the player’s first name, last
name, jersey number and position. You also want the city and year to
appear on each tag at the bottom. In this example the first four
lines will change and the 5th line will remain the same. The
information for the four lines that will be changing should be set
up in an Excel spreadsheet. It is not necessary to include in the
file the last line that will not change.
In the file:
1. Each tag is represented by one row
2. Each tag line corresponds to the columns (A-D in our four
line example)
3. The first entry of each column (A-D) should be given the
name “line 1, line 2 etc.
4. A maximum of 15 characters including spaces per line
without silencers and 14 characters per line including spaces
with silencers. (Mini Dog Tags:
10 ch per line, 3 lines max. no silencer option)
5. Characters include all letters, numbers and some special
characters.
6. ALL LETTERS MUST BE CAPITALIZED
